SUMMARY

The Microsoft Office Resource Kit (ORK) for Windows 95 contains incorrect information about the way macros work within a binder. On page 314 of the ORK, in the steps for creating a Binder wizard template with macros, step 1 has a paragraph that includes the sentence:

Set up the macros to run whenever the template is opened.

There is also a note after these steps to create a Binder wizard that contains the sentence:

The macros run when the document containing them is opened.

Both of these statements are incorrect, as you cannot have macros automatically run when you open a Binder template with sections that contain macros.

MORE INFORMATION

In order to launch macros contained in sections of a Binder, place buttons on the different sections and attach the macros to these buttons.
