TMGR: Team Manager Cannot Open a Read-only File

SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a plan in Microsoft Team Manager, you may receive the following message:
<Folder location><file name> is a read-only file. Microsoft Team Manager cannot open files that are read-only.

Change the attributes of this plan to read/write, and try opening it again.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you try to open a plan that is read-only. You can view files that are read-only only with Microsoft Team Manager Viewer.

RESOLUTION

To open the plan, using the right mouse button, click the file in Windows Explorer, click Properties, click to clear the read-only check box, click OK, and then open the file.
