SYMPTOMS

In Works 3.0, if you use Replace All, with the white space replace code (^w), Works will replace each lower case "s" with whatever replace criteria you specify. White space is defined as any combination of consecutive spaces, tab marks, or nonbreaking spaces.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows version 3.0. This problem was corrected in Works versions 3.0b and later.

MORE INFORMATION

If you click Find Next in the Replace dialog box instead of Replace All, you will notice that each lower case "s" is selected as matching the criteria.
