Using Netscape Navigator with The Microsoft Network

SUMMARY

You can use Netscape Navigator as a Web browser with MSN, The Microsoft Network. However, you must set up Netscape Navigator using the Windows 95 version of TCP/IP.

Netscape Navigator Personal Edition Setup installs the Netscape version of TCP/IP. You cannot connect to MSN with this version of TCP/IP. To ensure you have the proper version of TCP/IP, verify that the following three files are the Windows 95 versions:

  • Wsock32.dll
  • Wsock.vxd
  • Winsock.dll
