SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to connect to MSN, The Microsoft Network, you may receive the following error message:
- Guide.exe caused an invalid page fault on Kernel32.dll.After you receive this message, your computer may stop responding (hang).
CAUSEThis behavior can occur if your password list file is damaged.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, recreate your password list file. To do so, follow these steps:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/software/passwd.htm MORE INFORMATIONIf the above steps do not resolve the issue, extract the Guide.exe and Guidenav.nav files from your original Windows 95 disks or CD-ROM to the Windows\System folder. Both files are located in the Win95_07.cab cabinet file.
