Mac Bookshelf 96-97: Pronunciation Does Not Copy

SYMPTOMS

When you try to copy a pronunciation from Bookshelf and then paste the pronunciation into another program, the pronunciation does not play.

CAUSE

If the article where you copied the pronunciation also contains an anthem, then only a picture of the sound may be pasted. The actual sound of the pronunciation was not copied, and nothing is heard when you try to play the sound.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Bookshelf 96-97 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

If the article contains only a pronunciation and not an anthem, then the pronunciation is be copied and can be played in another application.
