Mac Bookshelf 96-97: Bookshelf Guide Quits on a PowerBook

RESOLUTION

• Upgrade your system software to System 7.5 or higher.
  
  -or-
• Prevent the screen from dimming.
  
  To prevent the screen from dimming, so the following:
  1. On the Apple menu, click Control Panels.
  2. Open the PowerBook control panel.
  3. Choose Custom in the PowerBook control panel.
  4. On the Screen Dims slider, select Never.
  -or-
• Instead of letting the screen dim, put the screen to sleep.
  
  To put the screen to sleep do the following:
  • on the Special menu, click Sleep.
