BUG: Aliased DBOs in v6.0 May Not Be Able to Access Database

SYMPTOMS

Users aliased to DBOs may be denied access to their databases if permissions are revoked from public by the SA.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

This problem does not occur in SQL Server version 6.5.
