Money: How to Select Items in a List Using the Keyboard

SUMMARY

When you use the keyboard to select more than a single item from a list box allowing multiple selections, press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW keys to find the items that you want in the list box, and then press the SPACEBAR to select the item.

To select multiple categories, use the appropriate method for your version of Money.

Money 99 and Later

  1. On the Tools menu, click Find And Replace, and then click Advanced Search, and then click Next.
  2. Click the Category tab.
  3. Click to select the Show Subcategories check box (or press ALT+S), and then click Clear All.
  4. Click any category in the list box or press the TAB key to move to the Categories list box.
  5. Find the categories you want with the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys, and then press the SPACEBAR to select the categories.

Money 98 or Money 5.0

Note You can select list boxes in Money 3.0 and Money 2.0 in a similar fashion.
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Find, and then click Transactions with the mouse. (If you use the keyboard, press ALT+T, F, T.)
  2. Click the Categories tab (or press CTRL+TAB to change tabs).
  3. Click Selected Categories (or press ALT+S).
  4. Click any category in the list box or press the TAB key to move to the categories list box.
  5. Find the categories you want by using the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys, and then press the SPACEBAR to select the categories.
