Lowpass and Highpass Filters

You can enable lowpass and/or highpass filters when
xmcd is encoding an MP3 file or stream. The filter
selection menu provides the following choices:

Off
   The filter is disabled.

Auto
The encoder will automatically determine whether
to enable a filter, as well as its frequency and
   width.

Manual
Enable the filter, and manually specify the
frequency and width in the corresponding text
fields. The frequency and width are both in
cycles per second (Hz). The valid range of
frequencies are 16Hz to 50000Hz. Any width of
0Hz and up can be specified.

The filters have an effect only in "CDDA save to file"
and "CDDA pipe to program" modes when the selected
output file format is MP3. It does not affect the
OggVorbis or other output formats.

If you change these settings, it will take effect on
the next "play" session.
