			Change Volume Database Host

	Networked Media Management

From a single instance of xvmadm on your local host, you can manage the
volume database, or volume configuration, on other hosts in your network.

The Volume Database Host: line located just above the Volumes list in
the xvmadm main window shows the name of the host whose volume database
you are currently managing. When you first start xvmadm, this host name
is set to the server where you are running xvmadm.

To manage volumes on another host:

	1. Pull down the File menu and choose Change Volume Database Host.

Enter the name of the host whose volume database you wish to manage
	   and click on OK.

This will cause xvmadm to try to connect to vmd on the specified
host. vmd (the Media Manager volume daemon) must be running on the
host in order for the connection to succeed.

	2. You can now use all xvmadm media management options to monitor,
configure, and manage media in the volume database on the selected
	   host.
