                   QSI example files
                   =================

            (c) 2000 Sun Microsystems, Inc.

This directory contains example setup files for QSI.

The files containing "cray" interface a cray NQS via rsh. For this example
no CODINE component runs on the Cray.

The files containing "cqs" interface CODINE itself doing some kind of
loopback. This is done only for testing purposes. There is no need to setup
a second queueing system for this example. This helps getting familiar with
the QSI concept.

For using this examples copy the fileset you need (cray or cqs) to your QSI
configuration directory and change them to your needs. The main
configuration file ("commands.cqs" or commands.cray_nqs) is used at startup
time of the "cod_qstd" daemon. So "cod_qstd" has to be restarted to use
them. The other files are used dynamically (no need to restart a daemon).

The qsup and the suspend_queue command are not used in this Release of the
QSI.
