BugId's fixed with this patch: 1076020 Changes incorporated in this version: Relevant Architectures: i386 Patches accumulated and obsoleted by this patch: Patches which conflict with this patch: Patches required with this patch: Obsoleted by: PC-NFS v4.0 Files included with this patch: LPD.EXE Problem Description: When the PC-NFS printer server utility PCNFSLPD is started, the names of any remote printers that are mounted by the PC are lost (until PCNFSLPD is unloaded). This can cause problems, since the lpr command used by the PC-NFS support daemon to print the PC output is getting passed a "-P" argument without a valid printer name following. Note: This problem only occurs on PC-NFS installations that have applied the PC-NFS jumbo patch (CTE PatchID #100287). If the system is running the original (v3.5) release of PC-NFS, it will not experience this problem. Patch Installation Instructions: -------------------------------- - On the PC with PC-NFS installed, unload PCNFSLPD (if loaded). - In the directory where PC-NFS is installed (typically C:\NFS), COPY the existing LPD.EXE to a backup file (such as LPD.BAK). - COPY the new LPD.EXE file into the PC-NFS directory, replacing the old file. - When PCNFSLPD is restarted, it will use the new LPD.EXE, which does not overlay the remote printer names. Special Install Instructions: ----------------------------- None.
