Problem Description:

1244433 Solaris2.5, `syslogd` can't handle/pass EUC japanese code, full 8 bit code. Solaris2.3: syslog(3) can't output japanese language

1249320 *syslogd* syslog is dying randomly in Solaris 2.5, leaves core files.
