<Help>
        Use this window to configure your ISDN configuration files.
        All fields in this window pertain to the local machine.

        Double-click RIGHT mouse button on any field or
        button to access online help.

<File>
        The file menu options is OK

        OK applies the changes to /etc/opt/SUNWisdn/te directory.

        Isdntool will make a single backup copy on each OK. If you
        make a mistake in saving the configuration, the old configuration
        file can be retrieved from /etc/opt/SUNWisdn/te/<#>.bak

        Reset keeps the configuration window open but reverts back to the
        values stored in the the most recent OK. Changes just made in the
        window will be lost.

<Physical Interfaces>

        ISDN hardware devices available to the system are automatically
        listed in this field. The default is isdn_0. A second SBus card
        would be isdn_1. If you have more than one device, select one to
        configure by clicking on it.

        You can click on a specific isdn device to highlight the
        device you wish to modify. At that point, the chosen device
        is shown above the label "Select A Network", and the configuration
        values for that device are loaded into the window.

<Select A Network>
<Network Type>
<Switch Type>

        This entry determines the phone company switch type you will be
        connecting to with your ISDN device. Please click on the arrow
        box for a menu of the 12 supported switch types.

        Switch types(cc_na_operator) currently supported are au1 vn6 1tr6 ntt
        bt2 dms 5ess ni2 etsi swd-etsi hkt vn3 and they are for countries
        (cc_na_country) usa australia france germany japan uk europe sweden
        hong_kong.

<Select Profile B>
        Click on to configure profile B.
        Profile B is not used outside North America.
        This is a required field in Noth America for AT&T multipoint,
        all DMS, all NI-1 and NI-2 connections. It is NOT required for
        AT&T point-to-point(PTP).

<Profile A>
<Profile B>

        This section of the window determines the profile for first and
        second calling number of your ISDN line(s).

        The dms, 5ess (multipoint) and ni2 switch types may support 1DN,
        1DN+1SPID or 2DNs +2SPIDs. Therefore, two call control profiles
        (cc_profile) and two network signalling profiles(ns_profile) may
        be configured over the same data link and physical interface.

        Other switch types must always have a single cc_profile and a
        single ns_profile configured.

        <Calling Number>

                Type your ISDN phone number in this field. This is the
                number your ISDN provider assigned to your ISDN line.
                This is a required field.
                   In the U.S. if your assigned number is (525) 312-6543
                   Enter: 1126453

        <EAZ Digit0-9>

                If connected to a 1TR6 Multipoint switch (Germany), you must
                set the calling number(cc_calling_nb) and local
                address(cc_local_nb) to the EAZ value assigned by your ISDN
                provider.
                The EAZ (1-9) is used to differentiate several devices
                connected to the same multipoint line.
                EAZ (0) is used to broadcast an incoming call to all devices.
                EAZ (0) is the default digit.
                EAZ does not apply to 1TR6 point-to-point.

        <Sub Address>

                Type your ISDN subaddress in this field. Your ISDN
                carrier will tell you if you have a subaddress.
                This field may not always be required.

        <SPID>

                Type your ISDN service profile ID in this field.

		Set this to nil for all non-US switches.

                (North America only. Required if number is assigned
                 by phone company)
                   IF assigned number is (525) 312-6543
                   AND AT&T multipoint --use-> 0131265430
                   OR AT&T NI1 or NI2 --use-> 0131264530TID
                     where TID often equals 00 e.g. 013126453000
                   OR DMS (all switches) --use-> 5253126543
                Verify the proper entry with phone company
                and/or experiment.

        <Local>

                Click on this button to pop up the
                local subaddress screen.

                SunISDN 1.0.3 supports up to 4 local addresses / local
                subaddresses. Your ISDN carrier will tell you if
                you have these.

        <CLI>

                When calling line identifier (CLI) is turned on, the
                switch to the remote site confirms that the physical
                calling number matches the remote site Calling Number,
                that is the number dialed from at the remote site is
                the same as the number in their configuration file.

                CLI is not supported by some networks. It is not supported
                across network boundaries, e.g. between countries. Check that
                your local ISDN carrier supports CLI and that you have
                subscribed to this service before enabling CLI. CLI
                is not the same thing as Caller ID.

        <Force56>

                Forces the ISDN line to a 56Kb transfer rate, regardless of
                how the incoming call identifies itself. This is mainly used
                for incompatibility problems between switches. If you have
                connection problems with some users and not with others, try
                using Force56.

                A 56Kb outgoing call may appear as a 64Kb call on the incoming
                side, due to configuration problems in the network.
                If this error occurs, set the cc_force56 option to on to enforce
                a 56K baud rate.

        <Data Link Parameters>

                Data Link Parameters(Q.921/LAPD) are for USA switches only.

        <dl_sapi>

                Data Link SAP Identifier.
                Value of 0(SIG) is for signalling DL SAP.
                Value of 63(MGT) is the management of SAP.

        <dl_dlcep_nb>

                It defines the number of Data Link Connection Endpoint.
                If 2DNs/2SPIDS configured, set to 3(ni1/2, dms, att-mtp).
                If switch is att-ptp or 1DN/1SPID configured, set to 2.
                If sharing mpt-line with a phone, set to 2
                (mixed voice-data).

        <dl_rc_ncb>

                It defines the N202 retry count to activate layer 2.

<OK>

        Click to apply the changes to /etc/opt/SUNWisdn/te directory.
        OK applies to all ISDN configuration files.
        If you plan to change more than one file, you may apply OK only
        after you've made all changes.

        Note, isdntool will make a SINGLE BACKUP COPY ON EACH APPLY. If you
        make a mistake in applying the configuration, the old configuration
        file can be retrieved from /etc/opt/SUNWisdn/te/#.bak file.
