Problem Description:

4128705
When trying to overwrite a file as a member of owner's primary group,
from an ms-dos session, "access denied" message follows, despite permissions
being 770. The file is on an nfs-mounted unit.
Considerations:
- the file is finally overwriten.
Therefore, the message doesn't reflect the actual result of the operation.
- the message is bound to the ms-dos session. When the operation is done
through file manager, or directly on the unix machine, is ok.

Patch Installation Instructions:

Note: This patch is for SNC 3.1.1 on win95 and NT only.

This patch is packaged as a self-extracting compressed file (10631001.exe).
It must be installed from Windows. The setup program backs up the original
file(s). It then installs the new file(s) and a patch uninstall utility.

To install, download 10631001.exe to a temporary directory on the PC.

In Windows, select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Enter the path and
patch filename (Example: c:\temp\10631001) then select "OK".

The patch will uncompress and start the setup program automatically.
Follow the setup program prompts to complete the patch installation.

 Restart Windows.

Patch Removal Instructions:

In Windows, click "Start". Then select "Programs", "Patch 106310-01"
 and click on "uninstallSHIELD".

 Restart Windows.

Installation Notes:

All drive letter and directory name references are Solstice Network Client
defaults. If you have installed Solstice Network Client or the patch file on
a different drive, or in a different directory, substitute your drive and
directory names in the example commands above.
