The address isused on all its interfaces.GSince each DECnet area needs an area router (to connect to other areas)you'd need two area routers.KThe next rule is that area routers must be directly connected: they must be	adjacent.KYour next question is about direction of traffic. The only way to implementthatHis in security rules. Example: write your own command procedures and putthemin ncl with appropriate ACL's.

Since we couldn't findGa free, public VAX server on the internet, we decided to get one to putFon the net ourselves. Some of you may remember late last year when weFofficially announced its first public release. It was up for a while,Ebut after some complications, it had to be moved to another location.GAfter some hassles with a new ISP for several months, we finally got itCup and running. Hobbes (as it has been dubbed) features a standardDcompliment of compilers, utilities, phone (chat app), and much more.DThe website has recently had a major overhaul. The color scheme wasFredone, and many improvements were added. We have an almost unlimitedFcapacity for expanding now, as we are paying for web hosting. We haveGaccess to many features which we never used to have, such as custom 404Gerror messages, an SSL server, secured web directories, CGI access, ftp#server access, and much, much more.GOn another note, Hobbes went down recently due to unknown reasons. AllBwe can tell is that the registry on the Windows router machine wasGpretty badly damaged. We think this was the result of a hack. This isGrather unfortunate, as it requires a complete system reinstall. HobbesGitself was unaffected, but without the Windows machine, there is no wayFto route the internet acess through to it. This happened on Friday orFSaturday this week, and Steve has not had time to fix the machine. WeHhope to have it back up on the internet as soon as possible, so read our"webpage for updated on its status.FVisit us at http://www.hobbesthevax.com. If you are not familiar withFHobbes already, we suggest that you read the FAQ. Currently, you haveEto email us to manually set up an account on Hobbes, but this will beFchanging soon, as we will be adding a CGI app to automate the process.Come visit our site!-Mike http://www.hobbesthevax.com------------------------------%Date: Sun, 20 Aug 2000 07:25:22 +0200 From: Paul Sture <paul@sture.ch>3Subject: Re: OpenVMS / Alpha Web Server - Frontpage+Message-ID: <VA.000000a6.0322f125@sture.ch>1In article <8nitqv$7nd$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, wrote:> From: steliosc@my-deja.com> Newsgroups: comp.os.vms1> Subject: OpenVMS / Alpha Web Server - Frontpage%> Date: Fri, 18 Aug 2000 08:58:14 GMT> ,> Greetings creatures from the planet Earth!> D> Does anybody out there have any good ideas how to publish snazzyG> sites on VMS?
