I think this is Gincorrect, but may have applied to BASIC V1.3. Anyway, the recommendedBcure was to re-install BASIC V1.4 (which is quite a bit newer thanCVMS V7.2-1), but that didn't have any effect. I figure they'll fix

(I could have that backwards.) I can't believe theyGhaven't fixed it in 7.3. Usually this kind of problem is just that theF.CLD that the SET PRINTER utility was built with is different from theAone in the DCLTABLES (one was updated but not the other), and re-#compiling everything should fix it.> Joe> > > -- John Santos------------------------------Date: 24 Mar 2001 12:58:19 CDT=From: wayne@tachysoft.xxx.412538.killspam.015a (Wayne Sewell).Subject: Re: Can this be done through lexicals.Message-ID: <FZFzeFREPdmJ@tachxxsoftxxconsult>UIn article <3AB9BD2E.D6860E60@gmx.ch>, Didier Morandi <Didier.Morandi@gmx.ch> writes:3> 1. When you set thisJvalue, it means "use whatever the default for this particular device is." LThere's also MT3$K_NO_COMP and MT3$K_COMP, which would mean the uncompressedMand compressed default density respectively. I would assume MT3$K_NO_COMP isequivalent to MT3$K_DEFAULT. Ff$getdvi is basically a dcl jacket for sys$getdvi and the binary valueNcorresponding to MT3$K_DEFAULT (0) is what the system service would return forKthe item code DVI$_MT3_DENSITY. In order to do what you want, the f$getdviJlexical would also have to look at the device type and consult an internalOtable of device default densities, which would of course have to be updated forKnew tape device types. Not saying it couldn't be done, just explaining why*they didn't do it in the first cut of MT3.NI got more acquainted with MT3 than I planned, because tapesys and most of the.other sp32 products have to deal with it. :-)Wayne-- O===============================================================================MWayne Sewell, Tachyon Software Consulting (281)812-0738 wayne@tachysoft.xxx:http://www.tachysoft.xxx/www/tachyon.html and wayne.html Kchange .xxx to .com in addresses above, assuming you are not a spambot :-)O===============================================================================ODean Wormer to Flounder: "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life."------------------------------%Date: Sat, 24 Mar 2001 22:18:29 -0500,From: "David Turner" <dbturner@islandco.com>*Subject: DS20 + RA7000 Packages This month/Message-ID: <tbqonvdnbs8dc7@news.supernews.com>:http://www.islandco.com/specials/packaged_systems/menu.htm-Island Computers US Corporation2700 Gregory StreetSavannah GA 31404Tel: 912 447 6622Fax:912 201 0096sales@islandco.com------------------------------%Date: Sun, 25 Mar 2001 00:34:06 -05002From: "Richard B.
