You can either open/read the file from dcl oruse the search command.NThe most efficient way would be to examine the image header directly, which ofOcourse is where the alpha/vax information comes from. There are a few programsNaround which turn the debug bit for a an image on and off. I have a c versionGand somebody in the group (Wolfgang Moeller?) has a dcl version. TheseIprograms already have to determine vax or alpha in order to use the rightFformat of image header. They could easily be modified to simply exit,Oindicating architecture with a return code (success means vax, failure alpha orvice versa).II can post my c program again if you would like, or I can post a modified(version that does exactly what you want.Wayne-- O===============================================================================MWayne Sewell, Tachyon Software Consulting (281)812-0738 wayne@tachysoft.xxx:http://www.tachysoft.xxx/www/tachyon.html and wayne.html Kchange .xxx to .com in addresses above, assuming you are not a spambot :-)O===============================================================================BJed Clampett, checking into hotel: "This place got a cement pond?"+Ellie May: "And do yuh let critters in it?"------------------------------#Date: Sun, 06 May 2001 13:24:04 GMT.From: "Alphaman" <alphaman64@nixspam-home.com>Subject: Re: VT POP3 client?<Message-ID: <UfcJ6.64036$U4.15376325@news1.rdc1.tn.home.com>7Jerry Alan Braga <jabraga@flanagan.ca> wrote in message.news:AAdG6.231821$Z2.2424431@nnrp1.uunet.ca...B> Visit the following www site and look at the MAILBOX for openvms>> http://patrick.lequere.netFPersonally, I prefer Richware's VMail for most things.
