AlmostK everything is peachy and if the network partner drops the link (I have full L duplex close set) my ReadAttn AST fires, my subsequent Peak fails, and I canJ do the necessary clean-up. The problem I seem to be having is that if *I*,I on the local node/process, break the connection with $dassgn ($cancel and F I'm about to try io$_shutdown) it does *NOT* fire :-( Is this expected
 behaviour?  J How can I force the Read Attention AST to fire when _I_ kill a connection?( Do I have to go for an outstanding Peek?  I If I can trap ss$_linkdiscon with a read attention AST for remote failure  then why not local?   G OTOH Am I GUARANTEED (hand on heart hope to die) that the AST will *NOT L EVER* fire under these circumstances?
