Thank Lyou. Out of habit I had done the FTP upload of the WAR file in binary mode Cand it did end up with 512 byte fixed length records. I did a SET KFILE/ATTR=RFM:STMLF on the file and then restarted Tomcat and it attempted Mto unpack the WAR file the first time I referenced the webapp from a browser.MI now have an entirely different problem, though. The webapp runs just fine Kon a local Tomcat v4.1.30 installation on WinXP using JDK 1.4.2. However, Iusing CSWS_JAVA v2.1 [Tomcat v4.1.24] with JDK v1.4.2 on my Alpha system Iresults in the following error when attempting to access the initial JSP page of my webapp:Horg.apache.jasper.JasperException: Exception forwarding for name login: Borg.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSPO	at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServletWrapper.service(JspServletWrapper.java)H	at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.serviceJspFile(JspServlet.java)0[snipped remainder of Java exception stack dump]JIt looks like I'll be heading over to one of the java-specific newsgroups 6here shortly to try and track down what's going wrong.-- Chuck Chopp8ChuckChopp (at) rtfmcsi (dot) com http://www.rtfmcsi.com@RTFM Consulting Services Inc. 864 801 2795 voice & voicemail2103 Autumn Hill Road 864 801 2774 faxGreer, SC 29651,Do not send me unsolicited commercial email.------------------------------%Date: Sun, 29 Aug 2004 21:32:23 -0400*From: Chuck Chopp <ChuckChopp@rtfmcsi.com>DSubject: Re: CSWS_JAVA v2.1 - won't unpack "war" files automatically9Message-ID: <ksvYc.44677$cx.31797@bignews4.bellsouth.net>Chuck Chopp wrote:A> It looks like I'll be heading over to one of the java-specific C> newsgroups here shortly to try and track down what's going wrong.LOK, maybe this issue needs to be discussed here. The same WAR file deploys M& executes properly on the Tomcat implementations on WinXP [Tomcat v4.1.30 / LJDK v1.4.2] and NetWare v6.5 [Tomcat v4.1.28 / JRE v1.4.2]. It deploys but Kfails to execute on OpenVMS Alpha v7.3-1 w/CSWS_JAVA v2.1 [Tomcat v4.1.24].II completely uninstalled Apache, PHP and Tomcat from my Alpha system and Jthen made sure that all left over directories & files were removed before Jrebooting & re-installing all 3 products. At this point I'm at a loss to Lexplain why I'm getting the failure to compile a class for a JSP file on my
Alpha system.$Any ideas what might be going wrong?-- Chuck Chopp8ChuckChopp (at) rtfmcsi (dot) com http://www.rtfmcsi.com@RTFM Consulting Services Inc. 864 801 2795 voice & voicemail2103 Autumn Hill Road 864 801 2774 faxGreer, SC 29651,Do not send me unsolicited commercial email.------------------------------#Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 04:29:14 GMTFrom: klewis@e.thundermaker.netSubject: Re: Multia questions2Message-ID: <u2yYc.233$vf3.115916@news.uswest.net>Alan Frisbie <Usenet01REMOVE@Flying-Disk.com> writes in article <4124FD58.4010906@Flying-Disk.com> dated Thu, 19 Aug 2004 12:19:52 -0700:9>If you are in the Los Angeles area, I will *give* you an:>AlphaStation 600 5/266.
