I do see it pushing out * other Unixes, but that's not "disruptive".  B Windows, on the other hand, has been a "disruptive technology" -- C available on cheap Intel hardware beginning with Windows 3.1, it's  B captured the bulk of the market, and kicked the snot out of Unix,  VMS, DOS, you-name-it.  F Let's make STABILITY the new "disruptive technology".  Let's not sell B the 20+ year track record -- that's old news no one wants to hear.  F Sell stability as if it's NEW, and people will begin to take notice.  D If not now, when their Winboxes crash. You're assuming that Linux is for everybody.  What if it's just  K for say 10% (or whatever %) of the market, and when it reaches that point,  
 growth stops?   H As long as Microsoft doesn't piss off too many people, and their office O automation products please the majority of users, that's what those users will  

I'm told - by my Silver TAM - that this is notG just local to older SW gear, it's HP-wide. I'm told by my local support E people that HP has outsourced their parts delivery to UPS.
