Most nearly allDthe environments I've done this sort of defragmentation, the logicalHvolume name is all that is needed so I only have a single pass, and then@change the MOUNT command to go to the right place. If there is aEproblem, I still have the original available but even when I have hadFtarget disk media problems, BACKUP has always reported this, so I have?not lost anything. Think also, you'll have a recent BACKUP, andEtypically I only ever do this sort of work immediately after a BACKUPhas completed.GWhile you are doing this consider the INIT command, and using /HEADERS,Hand other qualifiers. Then use BACKUP/IMAGE/NOINIT. Article available atHhttp://askq.compaq.com/ with a search string of "INIT command qualifiersDdisk windows headers typical". One or two articles matched which mayhelp.GHowever, the disclaimer here is, the risk is your data, not mine, there may be times I would use verify.-- ?Regards, Nic Clews a.k.a.
