I apologize if it is considered a cross-posting.http://www.classiccmp.org//When the bus master requests block mode DMA, it6inserts BS7 when inserting the first DIN. If the slave0is capable of block mod DMA, it inserts REF when5inserting RPLY. The master removes BS7 when inserting*the last DIN to finish the block mode DMA..My question is, what will happen if the master3finishes the DMA cycle early? The same question is,6what will happen if the master keeps BS7 inserted when3inserting the last DIN? Will the slave malfunction?4It seems a small violation of the protocol. It seems3the bus master needs to predict the availability ofData otherwise. Thanks.------------------------------%Date: Sun, 16 May 2004 19:14:57 +0200 From: "Dr. Dweeb" <dr@dweeb.com>Subject: Re: Suggested reading-Message-ID: <c887ik$2nto$1@news.cybercity.dk>This is a subscription item.John Smith wrote:> The lunatic you work for> May 6th 2004"> From The Economist print edition>>>F> If the corporation were a person, would that person be a psychopath?>>>>Lhttp://economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=S%27%2984%28Q%217%21%23%40%21> %2C%0A------------------------------%Date: Sun, 16 May 2004 10:51:27 -0400#From: "John Smith" <a@nonymous.com> Subject: [OT]: Suggested reading,Message-ID: <_K6dnaod17Jo4jrdRVn-hQ@igs.net>The lunatic you work forMay 6th 2004 From The Economist print editionDIf the corporation were a person, would that person be a psychopath?Lhttp://economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=S%27%2984%28Q%217%21%23%40%21%2C%0A------------------------------End of INFO-VAX 2004.271************************
