But, the way I'veA always done it (which works in all the languages I've used) is to F simply define a global logical that the AST routine can check. If yourD mainline calls the routine directly it sets the logical one way, andG the AST routine can check it. So in the AST routine, all it needs to do G is check the logical to know how it was invoked (and reset it before it  exits). E Please forgive the intrusion. The drive was announced in 1980 by Shugart G Technology (which later changed their name to Seagate in order to avoid F confusion with Shugart Associates), but it didn't ship in volume untilA 1981.
