So XtAppAddTimeout would simply queueDevents that woudl get executed after the lengthy loop has completed.HWhat I need to do is to develop a prototype application where all of theEwork is queued and separate threads rtead from the queue, do work andGput stuff back into a "completed queue" which the main pthread picks up@and uses to update the display. Thsi way, the main thread woudl@alremain responsive since it would never do any heavy duty work.GAnd because X on VMS is old and not thread safe, I would have to add myHown semaphores whenever a separate thread needs to update an opject used*by X (for instances fill a XmText widget).GBut until then, I need to fidn easy solutions to preventing an app frombecoming unresponsive.------------------------------End of INFO-VAX 2005.181************************------------------------------------------------------------LWW-DECWDISP Version: V1.0-< Description: Display information similar to SHOW DISPLAY Author: Lyle W.
