With that in mind, please let me adviseHthat you may wish to provide a API call (with/without the SQL syntax) toIswitch session authorization on a persona basis. Why? Because it could beKquite valid to switch authorization to an EXEC mode person, but without theFprocess going into inner mode how can you tell if this was legitimate?BYou *could* have SQL> set session authorization 'persona current';LRdb would then do a $persona_query on the current *zero* persona. (Who cares/what mode it is? It's current so it must be ok)GAnyway, If by the odd chance, you are implementing this and you plan on7banning non-user-mode personae then please think again.Cheers Richard Maher------------------------------ Date: 17 Jun 2005 08:29:36 -0500;From: koehler@eisner.nospam.encompasserve.org (Bob Koehler).Subject: Re: UAF> /ACCOUNT What's it used for?3Message-ID: <Zds+E15IG8A6@eisner.encompasserve.org>uIn article <d8u8mo$sup$1@nwrdmz02.dmz.ncs.ea.ibs-infra.bt.com>, "Richard Maher" <maher_rj@hotspamnotmail.com> writes:> Hello,> N> Can someone please tell me (or give me a pointer to the documentation about)K> what exactly VMS does with the data in the /ACCOUNT field of a Username's!> User Authorization File record?> > Off the top of my head: -> E> 1) It's stored via the ACCOUNTING utility and can be used to bundle > Usernames together for billing> J> 2) If the UIC Group code doesn't already exist then the ACCOUNT field is,> used to create an Identifier for the Group> > Anything else?>
