What's the difference between%> ALL-IN-1 3.2 and Office Server 6.1?DALL-IN-1 is essentially the original name. Office Server was the newname. BThe ALL-IN-1 group had announced the porting of the Allin-1 serverFportion to both Digital Unix and Windows. A couple weeks later, PalmerHpromised Gates he would kill all email products within Digital and focus5on Exchange, so the ports were killed very silently.EVersion 3.2 of Allin1 dates back from 1996. Version 6.1 is 2002. (andFthe last one since A1 was declared "mature" with the Alphacide and itssupport outsourced to India). DOffice Server is basically the VT interface of V3.2 but with lots ofFadditions at the server level, including nested folders, POP, IMAP andGWEB acces to not only documents but also mail functions (send receive).DBoth should run on Alpha 8.2 since that is the mandate of the indianEgroup (ensure the current A1 product runs on current version of VMS).------------------------------ Date: 19 Nov 2005 06:46:31 -0800 From: "Eddie" <blokey@gmail.com>BSubject: Re: Difference between ALL-IN-1 3.2 and Office Server 6.1CMessage-ID: <1132411591.716021.308060@z14g2000cwz.googlegroups.com>Thanks JF, much appreciated.,So basically OS 6.1 is a superset of A1 3.2.?I guess it's too much for HP to release OS 6.1 to us hobbyists.GShame it was killed by Digital but they weren't exactly known for doingthe right thing.CheersEddie.------------------------------%Date: Sat, 19 Nov 2005 09:39:51 -06002From: David J Dachtera <djesys.nospam@comcast.net>$Subject: Re: Microvax image to simh?+Message-ID: <437F4747.DF57C88B@comcast.net>Alan Greig wrote:> > David J Dachtera wrote:> G> > Please consider doing an Alpha version of Zmodem, as well as an I649> > version.
