I K> think the interview may have been on CNN financial news but I can't find > a web reference.GIt's always been suspected that the fine hand of Ben Rosen was present Iin this, but this is the first time I've ever seen any concrete evidence F(if 99% certainty of hearsay can be called 'concrete') to that effect.IThat's still no excuse: the CEO, not the BoD, is responsible for running Ithe company - all the BoD can do is arrange to replace him if they don't Hlike what he does. "I was just following orders" is even a less viable 0defense at the top than it is down in the ranks.- bill------------------------------Date: 2 Jul 2006 06:35:32 -0500-From: Kilgallen@SpamCop.net (Larry Kilgallen),Subject: Re: Console assigned to system user3Message-ID: <aCp2BUqmv8yt@eisner.encompasserve.org>`In article <1151805479.063343.234770@p79g2000cwp.googlegroups.com>, malanalan1@yahoo.com writes:G>> What exactly did you do to "assign the console to the system user" ?>>> C> There is no explicit username prompt. > thanks..> FActually you can buy a source license for VMS, but it is so expensive /that people only buy it if they really need it.CIn the old days, VMS shipped with listings on microfiche, but that Fstopped, when VMS became too big. I looked into the code a number of Ftimes, and found that there were many comments and the code ways well Fstructured. It was easy to read. My guess is that that is also true Ffor the code added after Digital stopped shipping microfiche listings.GMy guess is that VMS is not shipped with sources, because HP is afraid Ipeople will change VMS and blame HP if things are not working. Secondly Ithey are making a few dollars on selling the sources and source listings.------------------------------End of INFO-VAX 2006.365************************
