Programming such is always a major job.  With ? those two opposing issues acknowledged, I'll admit to having a  2 customized DIRectory command for the same reasons.  H However, I'm going to take John to task for asking that a specific task D be performed by a generic utility not intended to solve his problem.  E People can have a need to monitor specific data.  What would be more  H appropriate is to either use the existing tools or ask for specific new - tools to do the job in a much better fashion.   I As for the specific task mentioned, I'd tend to use the MONITOR utility,  1 possibly looking at the TOP Direct I/O processes.   I Ok, guilty as charged.  I also use SHOW SYS many times to get a feel for  K what's occuring. Lights flashed on, fans started up  E and I was elated - for about ten seconds.  Lights went off, but fans   stayed running.   H After poking around a bit, I see that LED 8 on the H7206B is lit (as is I the +14v indicator).  According to the documentation, this means there's  I an "XMI-1 module in XMI-2 card cage".  I've checked carefully, and ain't  @ no such thing; there's a DWMBB, CIXCD and DEMNA, along with six G processors and four memory boards.  Also, the DWMBB's red LED comes on  F before the power goes out.  I tried pulling the DWMBB and starting it & up, but I got exactly the same result.  H Do I just have a bad DWMBB?  Or might there be something else going on? F   Anyone know exactly what this indicator means?  What's it measuring?  3 Thanks for any advice you can offer.
