We willK include these items in the user guide and  we have them here for your quick 
 reference.  % Changes from version 1.0-1 to 1.0-2;   Read/Write Softlinks  I Are now officially supported and may be used as a standard shelving type.    Cross Device Softlinks  G Now work correctly.  Prior to this version, they worked when the device < names of the source and target devices were the same length.  # Changes from version 1.0 to 1.0-1;   Documentation changes   I Have been made to clarify and add on the existing manuals and help files.    HSMSOFTLINK   E A user may manually create read/write softlinks using the HSMSOFTLINK A command.  Both ends of the softlink must be managed by HSManager.    HSM-CONFIGURATION-UTILITY.COM   F Has been updated to keep HSAUTHMAINT.EXE on the image exclusion list. . HSMANAGER/SET/PROCESS=[NO]EXEMPT hsDeviceName:  6 Has been implemented.  In addition, HSManager uses SETL PROCESS/NOAUTO_UNSHELVE for the /EXEMPT functionality in versions of OpenVMS later than 6.0.   ! Known issues with HSManager T1.0; * File deletion and Shelving style HSManager  J At this point, files are inswapped prior to deletion.  We plan to optimizeC this so that files are automatically deleted from the shelf without  requiring inswapping.   G This will be user configurable to allow implementation of a generic and : secure "undelete" function using the HSManager technology.
