It's my understanding, from a discussion on this topic over on
vmsnet.tpu some time ago, that TPU (and EVE) use the same fonts that
DECterms use. That is, when using the DECWindows (Motif) interface,
TPU runs in a DECterm window (with its own menus, etc.) and doesn't
have an independent resource for setting the font. Therefore,
there's no way to choose the font in the main window without setting
the font for your DECterms as well.

However, you _can_ have TPU use your choice of condensed versus
normal, or big versus little, DECterm fonts. Copy SYS$LIBRARY:
TPU.DAT to your login directory (or wherever DECW$USER_DEFAULTS
points) and add the following resources:

        Tpu*FontSetSelection: 0
        Tpu*condensedFont: on

Tpu*FontSetSelection may be either 0 or 1, 0 gives the _big_ font, 1
gives the little font. Tpu*condensedFont may be either "on" or
"off", "off" gives the normal font, "on" gives the condensed font.
