Has we just started this project, almost everything is lacking. 

Currently the compiler will generate GNU assembler code.

With the aid of GNU assembler and linker, a executable binary can be 
created to run on a IA32 Linux platform.


It has complete or partial support for the following features and/or 
COBOL syntax:

- PERFORM, (With all options implemented)
- IF/ELSE conditional statements (all, excluding abbreviated conditionals).
- MOVE, SET.
- COMPUTE, ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY, DIVIDE.
- ACCEPT, DISPLAY (including stdin, stderr, stdout).
- File I/O, OPEN, CLOSE, READ, WRITE, REWRITE (indexed file not fully functional).
- STRING (partial implementation).
- UNSTRING (partial implementation).
- INSPECT (partial implementation).
- SORT, START (not fully functional).
- CALL (by reference and value only).
- Multi dimensional arrays and tables.
- SEARCH, SEARCH ALL, (multi WHEN conditions in SEARCH not available).
- INITIALIZE. 
- CURRENCY SIGN, DECIMAL-POINT. 
- File I/O (indexed file i/o not fully functional).
- Linux extensions (return code, command line, environmental variables).
- Debugging facility using GDB (not fully functional).
- TRACE, READY/RESET (not functional).
- NEXT SENTENCE, CONTINUE (not to ANSI85 standard).
- COBOL ANSI85 standard scope terminators, END-IF .... END-PERFORM.

Currently has no support for the following features and/or COBOL syntax:

- Any portion of the REPORT SECTION.
- Any portion of the COMMUNICATION SECTION.
- ACCEPT screen, DISPLAY screen, (No full screen I/O yet).
- EVALUATE.
