Erie Point Release: This release contains the same firmware, fcode and UEFI as the previous release, but contains an update to Legacy BIOS that fixes Oracle Bug 25128342 (SCGCQ01099597), a condition in which BIOS initialization may become stuck in infinite loop when a faulty drive is connected to the controller. You must rather update the firmware with the '-o' option: sas2flash -c <N> -o -f fw-ext-11050300-0a030020.bin When running with the '-o' option, safely answer 'y' when asked if the flash should proceed. Subsequent firmware updates to that HBA will not require the '-o' option. ** NOTE FOR SOLARIS 10 UPDATE 9 USERS ** There is a known bug with sas2flash for Solaris (CR 6920244) that may cause filesystem hangs after flashing, especially if one of the connected devices is the boot drive. The firmware update should still succeed and the system can be recovered with a power cycle. This will be fixed in S10U9 build 6.
