1   Overview

This document describes the JavaCAF PM Invalid Job alarm and the procedure to follow when it is displayed in the alarm list.

1.1   Description

The alarm JavaCAF PM Invalid Job is issued by JavaOaM Performance Management (PM) when a job request in CM is not valid or when an internal error occurs during execution of a job request. The job requests issued through CM include Create Job, Suspend Job, Resume Job, or Delete Job. The alarm attributes are listed in Table 1.

The alarm contains information related to the Attribute-Value Pairs (AVP) listed in Table 2.

List of Managed Object Classes (MOCs) that are included in the job.

startTime

String

Time when the job starts recording data. If left blank, the job starts recording data immediately when it is created.

stopTime

String

Time when the job stops recording data. If left blank, the job keeps recording data until it is stopped manually.

granularityPeriod

Integer

Time between two successive measurements, in minutes. Values must be 5, 15, 30, or 60.

outputPath

String

Path to the report output directory.

reporter

String

Type of reporter, single or aggregated.

The AVPs can be modified in the Information Model Management (IMM). For more information on the attributes, refer to the JavaOaM Managed Object ModelJavaOaM Managed Object Model, Reference [1].

2   Procedure

To clear the alarm, ensure that all applicable attributes are correctly set for the job indicated in the alarm printout.

Note:  
If the alarm does not clear or if it is issued frequently, consult the next level of maintenance support. Further actions are outside the scope of this Guide.
