1   Introduction

This instruction concerns alarm handling.

1.1   Alarm Description

This alarm is raised when the number of times the provisioned usage limits are surpassed in a specific granularity period exceeds its corresponding configured threshold value.

The alarm is associated to the usageLimitsSurpassed measure and the Fair Usage function.

Do the following:

  1. Check that the threshold (thresholdHigh and thresholdLow attributes of the object indicated by source alarm field before ":" character) is configured according to the needs. More information in Measurements.
  2. It is possible to obtain further details about the surpassed limit in the event log related to Fair Usage. Check the provisioned subscriber usage limits.
  3. If the alarm does not cease, consult the next level of maintenance support. Further actions are outside the scope of this procedure.
