1   Description

This instruction describes how to update license Information.

The information about available licenses and their use is published in the Management Information Base (MIB) as CapacityKey and FeatureKey Managed Objects (MOs) after a license key file has been installed. This read-only information is updated every 30 minutes.

However, after a license key file has been installed, it is recommended to ensure that the latest information is reflected in the MIB. It is done by triggering an immediate update of the license information.

2   Procedure

2.1   Update License Information

Prerequisites

• No documents are required.
• No tools are required.
• The following conditions must apply:
  • An Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI) session in Exec mode is in progress.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Lm MO, for example:

   >dn ManagedElement=NODE06ST,SystemFunctions=1,Lm=1

2. Update license information:

   (Lm=1)>publishLicenseInventory

   The system returns true if the operation is successful.

3. Verify that the license information has been updated by checking the time stamp:

   (Lm=1)>show lastInventoryChange

   The system returns a recent time stamp, for example:

   lastInventoryChange="2017-09-14T00:00:00"
