1 Alarm Description

The SAPC raises this alarm when it detects a communication failure with the peer.

The SAPC clears this alarm when it detects that the communication with the peer is re-established.

The possible causes of this alarm are:

  • When there is a connectivity problem between the SAPC peers.

  • When one of the SAPC peers is down.

2.1 Handle Alarm Policy Control, Geographical Redundancy Unable To Reach Peer

Steps

  1. Check the network IP connectivity between the SAPC nodes.
  2. Navigate to class GeoRedManager object:
    >dn ManagedElementId=1,PolicyControlFunction=1,GeoRedManager=1
  3. Execute showConfiguration action:
    (ManagedElement=1,PolicyControlFunction=1,GeoRedManager=1)> showConfiguration
  4. Verify the values of Local IP and Peer IP attributes.
  5. If the alarm does not cease, consult the next level of maintenance support. Further actions are outside the scope of this procedure.
