2 Procedure
2.1 Handle Alarm License Management, Autonomous Mode Activated
Prerequisites
- This instruction references the following documents:
- No tools are required.
- The following conditions must apply:
- The alarm is raised.
- The user has proper authority to handle configuration management of the network elements.
- An Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI) session in Exec mode is in progress.
Steps
- Navigate to the Lm Managed Object (MO), for example:
>dn ManagedElement=NODE06ST,SystemFunctions=1,Lm=1
- View attribute capacityAlarmHysteresis value:
(Lm=1)>show capacityAlarmHysteresis
The following is an example output:
capacityAlarmHysteresis=6
- View attribute capacityAlarmThreshold value:
(Lm=1)>show capacityAlarmThreshold
The following is an example output:
capacityAlarmThreshold=85
- View Capacity Key information, refer to View License Information.
- Provide License Management configuration and license information
for capacity planning:
- If the capacity planning organization decides to adjust License Management configuration, proceed with Section 2.2 Adjust License Management Configuration.
- If the capacity planning organization decides to install new license key with higher capacity, proceed with Section 2.3 Install New Capacity License.
2.2 Adjust License Management Configuration
Steps
- Is it required to set a new value for attribute capacityAlarmHysteresis?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
No: Proceed with Step 6.
- Enter Config mode:
(Lm=1)>configure
- Set a new value for attribute capacityAlarmHysteresis, for example:
(config-Lm=1)>capacityAlarmHysteresis=8
- Commit the change:
(config-Lm=1)>commit
- Verify the change:
(Lm=1)>show capacityAlarmHysteresis
The following is an example output:
capacityAlarmHysteresis=8
- Is it required to set a new
value for attribute capacityAlarmThreshold?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
No: Proceed with Step 11.
- Enter Config mode:
(Lm=1)>configure
- Set a new value for attribute capacityAlarmThreshold, for example:
(config-Lm=1)>capacityAlarmThreshold=90
- Commit the change:
(config-Lm=1)>commit
- Verify the change:
(Lm=1)>show capacityAlarmThreshold
The following is an example output:
capacityAlarmThreshold=90
- Is the alarm cleared?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
No: Proceed with Section 2.3 Install New Capacity License.
- Job is completed.
2.3 Install New Capacity License
Steps
- Contact the Ericsson supplier to order a new license with higher capacity.
- Install the new license key file, refer to Install License Key File.
- Is the alarm cleared?
Yes: Proceed with Step 6.
No: Continue with the next step.
- Perform data collection, refer to Data Collection Guideline.
- Consult the next level of maintenance support. Further actions are outside the scope of this instruction.
- Job is completed.
