1 Introduction

This document describes the basic information on how to configure a Dynamic Activation system in a Cloud Execution Environment (CEE) deployment. By using this document readers are able to get necessary information about the parameters used in the installation.

1.1 Target Groups

The target groups for this document are as follows:

Network Administrator
System Administrators
System Integrator
Technicians who perform the VNF installation

Basic knowledge about Linux and general information about Dynamic Activation is needed for installation of the software.

1.2 Typographic Conventions

Typographic conventions are described in the document Library Overview, Reference [3].

For information about abbreviations used throughout this document refer to Glossary of Terms and Acronyms, Reference [1].

1.2.1 Parameters

The parameters in this document can be of the following types:

P - Predefined, not possible to change.

C - Customer configured after discussions with Ericsson.

D - Default, possible to change.

S - Site specific parameters. The site specific parameters can be identified in Customer Questionnaire for Virtual and Cloud Deployment, Reference [2].

2 Configuration

The following tables list parameters used when configuring Dynamic Activation in a CEE environment.

For more detailed information regarding network configuration, refer to Network Description and Configuration for Virtual and Cloud Deployment, Reference [4].

Note:: For Dynamic Activation deployed in CEE environment, only pure IPv4 is supported.

Parameter	Description	Type
`Management/provisioning network address`	The address for the network in which Dynamic Activation must expose its public addresses. Must be at least a size /28 network.	S, IP Network
`Management network gateway`	The address to the gateway of the management network. This is often the first address in the network.	S, IP Address
`Public Management DHCP net pool start`	Start of management network IP address allocation pool for dynamic allocation of Dynamic Activation external interfaces. Normally the first IP address is allocated to the `vrrp` gateway in the CMXes and the following two are the CMX-26 and CMX-28 IP addresses.	S, IP Address
`Public Management DHCP net pool end`	End of management network IP address allocation pool for dynamic allocation of Dynamic Activation external interfaces. The last IP address is used for broadcast.	S, IP Address
`VLAN ID (Customer Edge Router)`	The VLAN ID configured in the customer edge router for the management network.	S, VLAN ID
`Internal Network Address`	The address for the internal network in which Dynamic Activation internal interfaces will reside. Must be at least a size /24 network.	S, IP Network
`Instance host name prefix`	The prefix name that will be the first part of all host instance names.	S, Name
`DNS Primary IP`	Address to primary DNS	S, IP address
`Redundant DNS Server IP`	Address to secondary DNS	S, IP address
`NTP Server IP`	Address to primary NTP server	S, IP address
`Redundant NTP Server IP`	Address to secondary NTP server	S, IP address
`Ephemeral size`	Size of the ephemeral disk that will be attached to each Dynamic Activation VM running Cassandra (node-1, node-2, node-3)	S, Size in GB
`Time zone`	Time zone where the Dynamic Activation system will be located.	S, Time Zone
`Virtual Router ID`	Virtual Router ID for VRRP implementation	S, Virtual Router ID

3 Disk Partitioning

The following table lists configurable parameters for disk partitioning.

For information about changing size of the partitions, see System Administrators Guide for Virtual and Cloud Deployment, Reference [5].
