1 Introduction
This document describes the AlarmListRebuilt event.
2 Event Description
The AlarmListRebuilt event is reported as a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) notification when the Managed Element (ME) has rebuilt (updated) its active alarm list without sending corresponding alarm events. This occurs in the following situations:
- The ME active alarm list reaches a stable situation after a restart.
- After an ME internal audit process.
2.1 Information
The AlarmListRebuilt event is defined by the eriAlarmAlarmListRebuilt NOTIFICATION-TYPE in the ERICSSON-ALARM-MIB.
No information is included in eriAlarmAlarmListRebuilt.
2.2 Usage
This section describes how to handle the AlarmListRebuilt event.
The management system must perform the following:
- Retrieve the active alarm list by using the Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI), NETCONF, or SNMP.
- Compare the retrieved list with the list of active alarms stored in the management system.
- Appropriately handle any change between the two lists.
2.3 Configuration
Not applicable.
2.4 Subscription
The subscription to event AlarmListRebuilt is achieved over the ECLI or NETCONF through the configuration of an SNMP target for the relevant version of the SNMP protocol. For more information, refer to the following ECLI Operating Instructions:
- Note:
- The configuration described in these Operating Instructions is not specific to event AlarmListRebuilt. All ME alarms, alerts, and events are sent over SNMP to all the configured SNMP targets.
The RFC 2573 SNMP-TARGET-MIB and SNMP-NOTIFICATION-MIB must not be directly configured over SNMP. All subscription configuration must be done over the ECLI or NETCONF.
