1 Introduction
This document describes how to configure a set of target types for Managed Element (ME). The value of attribute targetType can be used by, for example, Target-Based Access Control (TBAC).
1.1 Prerequisites
This section describes the prerequisites, which must be fulfilled before using the procedure.
1.1.1 Conditions
The following conditions must apply:
- The user has the System Security Administrator role.
- An Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI) session in Exec mode is in progress.
2 Procedure
To configure a set of target types for ME:
- Navigate to the UserManagement Managed
Object (MO), for example:
>dn ManagedElement=1,SystemFunctions=1,SecM=1,UserManagement=1
- Enter Config mode:
(UserManagement=1)>configure
- Configure the target types in attribute targetType, for example:
(config-UserManagement=1)>targetType="Stockholm"
- Commit the settings:
(config-UserManagement=1)>commit
- Verify the targetType:
(UserManagement=1)>show targetType
The following is an example output:
targetType "Stockholm"
Add One More Identifier to targetType
- Enter Config mode:
(UserManagement=1)>configure
- Add one more identifier in targetType, for example:
(config-UserManagement=1)>targetType="Uppsala"
- Commit the settings:
(config-UserManagement=1)>commit
- Verify the targetType:
(UserManagement=1)>show targetType
The following is an example output:
targetType "Stockholm" "Uppsala"
Remove One Identifier in targetType
- Enter Config mode:
(UserManagement=1)>configure
- Remove one identifier in targetType, for example:
(config-UserManagement=1)>no targetType="Uppsala"
- Commit the settings:
(config-UserManagement=1)>commit
- Verify the targetType:
(UserManagement=1)>show targetType
The following is an example output:
targetType "Stockholm"
Remove All Identifiers in targetType
- Enter Config mode:
(UserManagement=1)>configure
- Remove all identifiers in targetType, for example:
(config-UserManagement=1)>no targetType
- Commit the settings:
(config-UserManagement=1)>commit
- Verify the targetType:
(UserManagement=1)>show targetType
The following is an example output:
targetType=[]
