1 Introduction

This document describes how to view the software information on the Managed Element (ME). The information informs the user of the following:

Which software items a software version consists of
Which software versions are active and control the behavior of the ME
Which software versions are inactive and present on the ME

1.1 Prerequisites

This section describes the prerequisites, which must be fulfilled before using the procedure.

1.1.1 Conditions

The following condition must apply:

An Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI) session in Exec mode is in progress.

2 Procedure

To view software information:

Navigate to the SwInventory Managed Object (MO), for example:
>dn ManagedElement=NODE06ST,SystemFunctions=1,SwInventory=1

Show the software versions and their software items:

(SwInventory=1)>show

The following example output shows an active software version with product name ERIC-COREMW_RUNTIME, product number CXP9020355_1, and product revision R7E01. The output also includes an inactive software version with revision R7D01 on the ME. There are 17 software items present on the ME.

Show detailed information about the software versions and their software items:

(SwInventory=1)>show -r

The following example output shows further details about the software version and the software items. For example, their respective product name, number, and revision are displayed as part of administrativeData. It is also possible to see that 3 out of the 17 software items belong to the software version.
