1   Alarm Description

The alarm is raised when a Diameter peer node has been disabled.

The alarm is cleared if the operator enables the peer node listed by the alarm attributes.

The alarm is also cleared automatically when alarm vDicos, Diameter Own Node Disabled is raised. Alarms for peer nodes related to the own node are cleared and a new alarm is raised for the own node.

2   Procedure

2.1   Handle Alarm vDicos, Diameter Peer Node Disabled

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Contact the network or node administrator. Is the node administratively disabled for maintenance reasons?

    Yes: Proceed with Step 8.

    No: Continue with the next step.

  2. Navigate to the DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode managed object, for example:

    >dn ManagedElement=NODE06ST,XyzFunction=xyz,DIA-CFG-Application=DIA,DIA-CFG-StackContainer=abc,DIA-CFG-PeerNodeContainer=abc,DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode=node12.ericsson.com\23abc

    Replace the key of the DIA MOs with the stackId and nodeId values of the alarm attributes.

  3. Enable the Diameter peer node:

    (DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode=node12.ericsson.com\23abc)>configure

    (config-DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode=node12.ericsson.com\23abc)>enabled=true

    (config-DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode=node12.ericsson.com\23abc)>commit

  4. Verify the setting:

    (DIA-CFG-NeighbourNode=node12.ericsson.com\23abc)>show enabled

    enabled=true
  5. Is the alarm cleared?

    Yes: Proceed with Step 8.

    No: Continue with the next step.

  6. Perform data collection, refer to C-Diameter Trouble Report and Support Case Writing Guideline.
  7. Consult the next level of maintenance support. Further actions are outside the scope of this instruction.
  8. Job is completed.
