1 Introduction
This document describes how to update license Information.
The information about available licenses and their use is published in the Management Information Base (MIB) as CapacityKey and FeatureKey Managed Object (MOs) after a license key file has been installed. This read-only information is updated every 30 minutes.
However, after a license key file has been installed, it is recommended to ensure that the latest information is reflected in the MIB. It is done by triggering an immediate update of the license information.
1.1 Prerequisites
This section describes the prerequisites, which must be fulfilled before using the procedure.
1.1.1 Conditions
The following condition must apply:
- An Ericsson Command-Line Interface (ECLI) session in Exec mode is in progress.
2 Procedure
To update license information:
- Navigate to the Lm MO, for example:
>dn ManagedElement=NODE06ST,SystemFunctions=1,Lm=1
- Update license information:
(Lm=1)>publishLicenseInventory
The system returns true if the operation is successful.
- Verify that the license information has been updated by
checking the timestamp:
(Lm=1)>show lastInventoryChange
The system returns a recent timestamp, for example:
lastInventoryChange="2015-05-25T00:00:00"
