1. Introduction

This document provides some important information about Nokia Siemens Networks BTS Manager 7 MP1.0 (referred to as the "EM" hereinafter, EM stands for Element Manager). Please read this as well as the documentation for the elements involved before using the EM.

There is more detailed information also in the Online Help of the EM.

This EM is used for managing the Nokia Siemens Networks UltraSite and MetroSite BTS equipment.

4. Installation

You can obtain the EM as an installation CD-ROM or by downloading it via www.online.nokia.com (Nokia Online Services). To install the EM, run the Setup.exe program icon in the window and follow the instructions of the installation program.

Note: Make sure that already installed BTS Manager is closed before running the Setup. Otherwise a reboot will be required for new BTS Manager to come in effect

The EM startup shortcut icon is added to the desktop and BTS Manager shortcut folder.


5. Uninstallation

To uninstall the EM, follow the normal operating system application uninstallation procedure. If you have saved any EM related files, such as logs or configurations, those files and the directory will NOT be deleted. You need to remove them manually.
