<p>NetAct OSS3.1ED2 includes enhanced features related to
EDGE management, as illustrated in the figures below.</p>


<p>BSC S10.5 ED level data can be seen in OSS3.1ED2 and the data can be
modified via it.</p>

<h3>NetAct Radio Access Configurator (RAC)</h3>

<p><em>OSS3.1 ED1</em></p>


<p>You can add, modify or delete non-EDGE specific radio network parameters
(S10.5) using the different RAC applications:</p>


<ul>
<li><p>use CM Plan Manager to import plans to the NetAct system</p>
</li>
<li><p>use CM Editor to modify the plans</p>
</li>
<li><p>use CM Analyzer to analyse whether the initial parameters used
in the plan are reasonable and later to analyse the parameters in actual use</p>

<li><p>use CM Provisioner to download the plan to the network.</p>

<p>EDGE-specific parameters (S10.5) are managed using MML commands.</p>

<p>Standard Nokia NetAct monitoring applications, such as
Top-Level UI, Alarm History, Alarm Manual (modifiable), Alarm Monitor, Alarm
Viewer are used to monitor the network.</p>


<p>There are EDGE-specific Alarm Manual pages OSS3.1 ED2.
OSS3.1 ED1 does not include EDGE-specific Alarm Manual pages but the alarms
are visible through the NetAct applications.</p>

<h3>NetAct Tracing</h3>

<p>Nokia NetAct Tracing supports EDGE capable Nokia network elements in
OSS3.1ED2. Data Tracing must be supported by the BSS and the Packet Core Network.</p>


<p>EDGE specific tracing content (from the BSC) includes information about
the following:</p>

<li><p>Used Modulation Coding Schemes (MCS)</p>

<li><p>The amount of data transferred with
each MCSs</p>
