1. Release notes for R09.00.01

The Centracom Series II Plus Field Prom Programming Software Manual
(part number 68-81121E49-F) has a misprint on page IV-57. It reads as
follows:

"For ASTRO signalling the individual ID must be a 7-digit decimal number
greater than zero. The talk group ID entered must be a 4-digit decimal
number between 0001 and 4095 that is prefixed by the system with "A00".

The following should replace the above statement:

"For ASTRO signalling the individual ID must be a 7-digit decimal number
greater than zero. The talk group ID entered must be a 4-digit decimal
number between 0001 and 4094 (inclusively) that is prefixed by the system
with "A00".

2. Guidelines for creating a new EMBASSY customer.
    -----------------------------------------------

A CEB template, CEB2, is provided with the SMP_EMB sample embassy
customer data. This template contains only one CRT operator position
with no channels or other data.

You can create a new embassy customer from this CEB2 data template
    with the following steps.

    A. Create a new AEB directory using the DOS command 'md'.
       Eg., C:\>MD NEW_AEB

    B. Then go to that new directory.
       Eg., C:\>CD NEW_AEB

    C. Make all of the CEB directories off of the AEB directory,
       Eg., C:\NEW_AEB>MD CEB1
            C:\NEW_AEB>MD CEB2
            etc.
                          -------
                          | C:\ |
                          -------
                             |
                        ------------
                        | NEW_AEB |
                        ------------
                       / | \
                     / | \
               -------- -------- --------
               | CEB1 | | CEB2 | | CEBn |
               -------- -------- --------

    D. From your AEB directory copy the NEW_TRK file from the sample
       data's AEB directory to TRK_RED.
       Eg., C:\NEW_AEB>COPY \SMP_EMB\NEW_TRK TRK_RED

This example assumes that the sample data is located on the
same disk drive as your new AEB.

This is the only file you will need from the sample AEB
directory. The other files will be created.

    E. Copy all of the files from the CEB template directory to all
       of your CEB directories.
       Eg., C:\NEW_AEB>COPY \SMP_EMB\CEB2 CEB1
            C:\NEW_AEB>COPY \SMP_EMB\CEB2 CEB2
            etc.

    F. You must now give each CEB a unique ID before adding/changing
data in your new embassy system (after step 'E' each CEB will have
a CEB ID of 2). Using the FPP change the CEB ID for each CEB,
       menu 0498.

    INTRODUCTION:

A tone_dc database is a group of tones delivered by a particular base
station at specific frequencies or DC currents.
This file outlines the steps in choosing a tone_dc database that is
best suited for a given system configuration.

    A) Once all current Personality Proms are downloaded into the FPP
the TDM address which requires the ASN or sp tone_dc can be modified.

    B) Select one of the following databases for the TDM slot that requires
an ASN or sp tone_dc database.

        1.  FILE NAME => TONE_DC.SPA

            a. SP 1 will provide the TDM with a T1 standard CCM to Key on
               Freq. 4 function tone(1250Hz) or Freq. 4 DC current(-12.5ma).

                       VALUE TONE FREQUENCY

               tone1 : ORD(sq_dsb) 2050 Hz
               tone2 : $FF 1950 Hz
               tone3 : ORD(pl_str_f1) 1850 Hz
               tone4 : ORD(r2_off) 1750 Hz
               tone5 : ORD(r2_on) 1650 Hz

NOTE: TONE_DC.SPA and TONE_DC.SPB also contain the above ASN
tones in the respective tone tables.

    C) Copy the desired database from Disk 5 to the customer's DATA directory
        into the tone_dc database.

            a. Log into drive which contains the customers directory.

Example => If the directory is in the C drive then
                              move to the C prompt(C:).

            b. Change directories to the Customers Data directory.

                   Example => CD <customers directory pathname>

            c. Copy the current tone_dc file in the customers directory to
               tone_dc.old.

                   Example => Copy tone_dc tone_dc.old

            d. Copy the selected ASN or sp tone_dc file from Disk 5 into the
               customer's directory.

Example => (Assuming Disk 5 is in Drive A and that you are
currently in the customers data directory which
                              is on Drive C.)

                              Copy A:tone_dc.spa tone_dc

    D) Edit Base Station type of TDM requiring the ASN or SP tone_dc database.

            a. Invoke the FPP program with the associated customer's
               Data directory.

            b. Select "F4 = Change/Create/View console codeplug data" from the
               MAIN MENU.

            c. Select "F4 = Reconfigure TDM slots in CEB" from the
               CHANGE DATABASES MENU.

            d. Select "F2" to edit the TDM which requires the tone_dc
               database.

            e. Edit the "Base Station Type" to either T1 Standard, T2 Standard,
               T4 Standard, SP 1, SP 2 or SP 3.
Refer to part B for definitions of the ASN/SP databases.

    E) Refer to sample Data for Examples on Sp tone_dc databases.

            a. TDM 40 is equipped to key on Freq. 4 function tone(1250Hz).

            b. TDM 20 is equipped to key on Freq. 2 DC current(12.5ma).

            c. TDM 21 is equipped to key on Freq. 2 function tone(1850Hz).
