INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT UPGRADING PROCESS

============================================================================

1. Power on the radio. If the ignition is on, turn off all other accessories to
    ensure the quietest possible environment. Do not run the engine during this
    procedure.
2. Connect all the items following the sequence:
    PC com port --> Radio Interface Box(P/N RLN4008)(through P/N 3080369B72 for 9 pin
    or P/N 3080369B71 for 25 pin) --> Programming Cable (RKN4083) --> Flash Adapter (FKN8096A) --> Radio.
3. Start the Upgradetool from the 'Start Menu'.
4. Select Options->Configuration to set the Flash Rate.
5. Select Radio Access->Upgrade Radio or click "Upgrade Radio" icon on toolbar, and press Start Upgrade to upgrade the radio
6. A message box will appear with instructions to put the radio in bootstrap
    mode.
	- Pull out the Programming Cable and turn off the radio.
        - Switch the flashing adapter into "Flash" mode. Then plug the flash cable back into the radio with the radio turned off.
        - Turn the radio on. Make sure the radio doesn't boot up like normal. Some of the LED's may light up but the Screen should stay blank. You may hear a static noise. This is "Bootstrap" Mode.

7. After clicking Ok, upgrading should begin if properly put in bootstrap mode.
8. When the process is complete, return the flashing switch to the 'CPS' position
    before disconnecting the cable from the radio or powering it up.
9. Connect another radio and repeat from step 4. Remember, the baud rate
    selection is done only the first time after starting up the program.

NOTE:
       1) Do not remove the programming cable or turn off the radio while
          upgrade is in progress.
       2) In case of failure during the upgrade, a message box will appear to
          guide the user to recover from the failure IF possible.
       3) You may not run more than one copy of the program at the same time.

NEW FEATURES / NOTES
=====================

Problems Solved since previous Release (R03.06.08)

  New feature Added
 -----------------
 CDDts02436:Add support for ELM 5T UHF4 band in firmware

  Problems Fixed
 -----------------
 CDDts02466(GCC8070431):CM300 series Pin 2 not deviating carrier with Pin 3 Voice/Data PTT.
 Description:
 CM300 series Pin 2 not deviating carrier with Pin 3 set to voice/Data PTT.
 If Pin3 is assigned to fast data ptt or fast v/d ptt, the high level PTT request will be disabled.
 Effect: ELM 5T firmware

 CDDts03112(GCC8160616):CM340 Occasionally hangs when vehicle started
 Description:
 1. Connect a mid band radio (CM340 or CM360 to power supply.
 2. Adjust the voltage to the power supply, decrease the voltage little by little from 13V.
 3. When the voltage fall into 5 to 6V, the radio will alternatively flash red and green led and the keypad is locked(Synthesiser unclock state ).
 4. Increase the voltage little by little back to 13V .
 5. The radio will still alternatively flash red and green led and the keypad is locked
    (Still in synthesiser unclock state).
 Effect: ELM 5T firmware

 CDDts03129(GCC8185138):CM3xx, if PL 'Turn off Code' checked radio will not TX with data or v/d
 Description:
 This problem only happens if the debounce is disabled.
 When GPIO pin 3 set to data ptt or voice/data ptt and debounce is disabled,
 if one or more of following conditions are enabled,
 this problem(radio can not keyup) will occur:
 - PTT keyup mode
 - Authorisation
 - TX admit criteria (except 'Always Allowed')
 - TX time-out timer mode
 - PTT dekey encode
 - PL Reversed burst / DPL TOC
 - Scan list enable
 Effect: ELM 5T firmware

 CDDts03390(GCC8178388):CM360 dead after menu scroll
 Description:
 CPS Configuration:
 P1 Menu only programmed with Channel switch
 P3 programmed with Call 1
 duplicate procedure:
 1. Radio is switched on
 2. P3 pushed for call then
 3. P1 pushed (Display is empty, only Symbol LA and L), now
 4. push up or down
 5. now the radio is "dead" with lightened display, and is not possible to switch off the radio
 Effect: ELM 5T firmware

 CDDts03663:ELM 5T Freq drift issue(second change after R03.06.08 change)
 Description: In R03.06.08, a fix was done for the ELM freq drift issue. But with that fix,
 the fast data ptt still has the freq drift problem sometimes the freq drift is about 1k.
 Effect: ELM 5T firmware
