    Radio Alignment Screen
    ======================

When on the radio alignment screens use the <Cur_dn> or <Cur_up>
keys to move to the next or previous field respectively, and use the <+>
and <-> keys to increment or decrement the setting of the current field.
The data in the current field will be written to the radio when you
press <enter> or when you use any of the above keys.
When on the Tune channel screen or the first option of the
Auxiliary tuning screen, the tuner data will apply only to the currently
    selected channel on the radio.
Before selecting a different tuner screen, to make the current
settings permanent you must exit the tuner menu and reprogram the radio
(via <F3> from the main menu).

The three Radio Alignment screens avaliable are as follows :-
    Tune Radio
    ----------

Carrier Squelch : The squelch level used when in carrier squelched
                            mode.

Tone Squelch : The Squelch level used when in tone squelched
                            decode mode.

Volume : Maximum radio speech volume.

For detail regarding the exact tune up procedures associated with
the squelch values, see the Help from the tune radio screen -
    <F2><F2><F1> from the main menu.

    Tune Channel
    ------------

VCO level : This field holds the VCO modulation attenuator
level, and controls the deviation associated
                            with speech signals.

Mod level : This field holds the Ref modulation attenuator
level, and controls the deviation associated
with sub-audio signals, ie PL signalling.

For detail regarding the exact tune up procedures associated with
the modulation attenuator values, see the Help from the tune channel
screen - <F2><F3><F1> from the main menu.

    Auxiliary Tuning
    ----------------

Mic Sensitivity : This field gives fine control over the
microphone preamplifier gain. This field may be
                            set per channel.

Mic Preamp Gain : This field gives coarse control over the
microphone preamplifier gain. It may only be set
                            per radio.

Rx Audio Gain : This field is used to control the Recieve audio
gain path, and may be set per radio.

PL Modulation : This field controls the PL modulation level and
may only be set per radio.
    Radio Communications failure
    ----------------------------

If the programmer is unable to communicate with the radio then you
will see the following message :-

Radio Communications Failed - Error nn

Where 'nn' indicates the type of failure. A list of common failure
numbers and their likely causes is given below :-

1 - Radio not connected to RIB
             3 - Radio powered off
11 - RIB not connected to computer or
                    RIB power failure

Should a communications failure occur please check that your
equipment is set up correctly, according to the "Equipment setup" section
of the user guide, and that power is supplied to both RIB and radio.
